When Does Your Pet Need an Eye Examination?

If you notice a sudden change in your pet's eyes, an eye examination can help determine the cause and whether treatment is needed.

 

Signs your pet needs eye examination:​

  • Red or irritated eyes

  • Excessive tearing

  • Eye discharge

  • Squinting or keeping one eye closed

  • Cloudy or bluish eyes

  • Swelling around the eye

  • Changes in pupil size

  • Signs of discomfort or rubbing the eye

  • Sudden changes in vision

  • Eye injury or trauma
